<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of image blurring for a long time, and to prevent the occurrence of a side effect. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes, in an image forming apparatus body: a photoreceptor drum 1 as an image carrier; and an electrostatic charger 2 that charges the surface by corona discharge and has a grid 23 approaching the photoreceptor drum 1 and controlling the electrostatic charge potential. A heater 8 is arranged along a main-scanning direction of the photoreceptor drum 1 which is the longitudinal direction of the electrostatic charger 2. The heater 8 approaches, in a non-contact state, the grid 23 of the electrostatic charger 2 and a part facing the grid 23 of the photoreceptor drum 1, and has a length of at least image forming region or more in the main-scanning direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
