PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to couple an X-ray grid easily and appropriately to a portable detector, and to prevent the operator from mounting the X-ray grid erroneously on a rear cover such as on a non-detecting face or the like. SOLUTION: An X-ray grid alignment circuit (100) for coupling the X-ray grid (90) to the detector (14) includes: a marker (102) configured to be mounted to the X-ray grid (90); a sensor (104) configured to be mounted to the detector, which generates an alignment signal based on the position of the marker; and an alignment module (106) configured to receive an alignment signal from the sensor and utilize the alignment signal to determine whether the X-ray grid is coupled to a detecting face (60) of the detector.
