PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure having high waterproof performance without increase in manufacturing cost in an image display device. SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a display panel 2 provided in a housing 1; a front housing-forming member 11 constituting the housing 1 and provided with an image display window at a front position of the display panel 2; a rear housing forming member 12 constituting the housing 1; a seal member 6 provided between bonding surfaces of the two housing forming members 11, 12 to surround the display panel 2; and a groove part 7 provided in the bonding surface of the front outside-forming member 11 or the rear housing-forming member 12 along the seal member 6.
