SYSTEM FOR DESIGNATING MEASUREMENT REQUEST STARTING TIME AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that shared standard time is necessary as a reference to solve ambiguity in a measurement request starting time on the current mechanism.

SOLUTION: On the designation in the starting time to carry out the measurement in a wireless local area network, the measurement starting time is included in a measurement starting time field of a measurement request frame. The interpretation on the stating time for a specified element to be measured by a mode field which is contained in each measurement request element field of the measurement request frame. As an option, the starting time of the measurement request frame is designated by using a time synchronous function (TSF) timer value or its part to prevent the ambiguity in interpretation of reported starting time.
