PURPOSE: A voice signal controlling apparatus of a communication device and a control method thereof are provided to enhance voice quality and to prevent howling phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A voice signal monitoring unit(132) monitors a transmission voice signal and a reception voice signal. A gain determining unit(134) determines amplification gain about the transmission voice signal and the reception voice signal according to a monitoring result. A gain controlling unit(136) controls to amplify the transmission voice signal and the reception voice signal based on an amplification gain.
