Provided is a PTC device in which deterioration of the reliability of a PTC element is restrained as much as possible. Said PTC device is comprised of a PTC element (14), which is comprised of a laminar PTC element and metal electrodes provided on either side thereof, and a retaining metal layer retaining insulation layer (12), which is comprised of an insulation layer (16) and a metal layer (18) provided on one of the primary surfaces of the insulation layer, wherein one of the metal electrodes of the PTC element is provided on the metal layer to electrically connect them together. |
