PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal obtaining a display screen just by performing one process of a sliding operation from a closed state for both of a vertically long open state and a horizontally long open state. SOLUTION: A sliding support mechanism provided in the mobile terminal 1 includes: a first guide groove 12 provided on the side of a first housing 10 and provided with a straight line portion 12a in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the display screen 21 and a circular arc portion 12b continued with one end of the straight line portion 12a; and a first guide pin 22 provided on the side of a second housing 20 and slidably engaged and held by the first guide groove 12. In both of the cases that the first guide pin 22 at the intersection CP of the straight line portion 12a and the circular arch portion 12b is moved along the straight line part 12a and that it is moved along the circular arc portion 12b, all or a part of input portions 11 covered by the second housing 20 is exposed.
