PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, at a low cost, a television receiver set which can display caption information included in a video signal, in a display screen of a remote control terminal by easy operation. SOLUTION: A television receiver includes a caption information extraction function of extracting caption information from a video signal, and caption information extracted by the caption information extraction means is transmitted to the remote control terminal by infrared communication using a transmission means provided in the television receiver and a reception means provided in the remote control terminal and is displayed in the display screen of the remote control terminal, according to operation of the operation button of the remote control terminal.
