PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition which has an excellent physical property balance and a lightweight property and is also further excellent in environmental adaptability and economical efficiency; and to provide a molded body prepared by molding it. SOLUTION: There are provided: the thermoplastic resin composition characterized by comprising a component (A): 30-99 wt.% of thermoplastic resin and a component (B): 1-70 wt.% of glass of which at least a part has an independent gap structure; and the molded body prepared by molding the thermoplastic resin composition. It is preferable that the component (B) be a burnt regenerated foam glass with a bulk density of 1.8 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or less and the component (A) be a polypropylene-based resin. In addition, based on 100 pts.wt. of the total weight of the component (A) and the component (B), 0.1-5 pts.wt. of modified polyolefin as a component (C), 0.1-40 pts.wt. of elastomer as a component (D), and 0.1-40 pts.wt. of filler as a component (E) may be contained.
