PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening structure which can be used when an operator's hand, tool or the like do not reach the back side of a wall thickness portion of a plate-like member as a fastening object, allows a bolt for fastening the plate-like members to be threadably coupled by a suitable length securely, and at the same time can securely exert suitable axial yield strength. SOLUTION: The fastening structure includes a bolt 36 which is formed with a first male thread portion 40 on one end, a second male thread portion 42 on other end and a barrel portion 44 having at least a diameter larger than that of the first male thread portion 40 on an intermediate portion, a first plate member 32 formed with a through-hole 50, and a second plate member 34 to which a stepped nut 54 is joined. The first male thread portion 40 of the bolt 36 inserted into the through-hole 50 of the first plate member 32 and a female thread portion 54a of the stepped nut 54 joined to the second plate member 34 are fastened, and the nut 38 is fastened to the second male thread portion 42.
