TRANSPORT AGNOSTIC SCSI I/O REFERRALS

PURPOSE: A method and a system for multipath providing and a computer readable medium are provided to supply multipath through small computer system interface input/output referral between an initiator and a storage cluster. CONSTITUTION: A storage cluster(1116) includes a least a first and second target device(1108,1110). The storage cluster receives input/output in the first target device from an initiator(1102) through a network. The storage cluster initiates transmission of a first data part of the first target device. The storage cluster transmits a SCSI I/O referral list to the initiator. The referral list includes a port identifier related to a second port identifier and a port identifier related to a first SCSI.
