A method and system for blocking protocol messages at a sub-ring control channel without virtual channel are provided in present invention, for avoiding the problem that the sub-ring is in a refresh state constantly caused by the solution of the current sub-ring control channel without virtual channel. Wherein the method includes: the forwarding of the relevant messages is blocked when a force switch is initiated or a failure is detected.
