PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical X-ray imaging apparatus which reduces radiation exposure of a subject by restricting the X-ray irradiation area of the subject in a direction intersecting with a scan direction of X-ray beams in accordance with a photographing region in X-ray imaging for performing X-ray imaging by scanning the subject with X-ray beams. SOLUTION: In the medical X-ray imaging apparatus including a supporting member for supporting an X-ray generator and an X-ray detector with the subject in between, an irradiation field restricting part for restricting the irradiation field of the X-ray beams generated from the X-ray generator, and a scan driving part for scanning the subject with the X-ray beams restricted by the irradiation field restricting part for performing the X-ray imaging, an X-ray irradiation position changing part which changes a position irradiated with the X-ray beams to a height direction being a direction intersecting with the scan direction of the X-ray beams in accordance with the photographing region of the subject during the scan with the X-ray beams is provided.
