PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic bowel evacuation apparatus which can realize a proper excretion discharge and a washing action by preventing a malfunction of the main body section from occurring by sensing the sealed state of an excretion housing tank. SOLUTION: This automatic bowel evacuation apparatus K is equipped with a diaper-form casing A and a washing means. The automatic bowel evacuation apparatus K has an excretion housing section 300, a connecting member 103, a lid body 304, a fitting section 303 which is connected with the connecting member 103, and is fitted on the lid body 304, and a plurality of electrodes 308 and 308 which are installed on the fitting section 303. The lid body 304 has a fixing member 310. The fixing member 310 fixes the fitting section 303 by engaging with the fitting section 303 with the fitting section 303 fitted under a specified configuration, and at the same time, makes the plurality of electrodes 308 and 308 conductive each other. The lid body 304 has a sensing means 417 which senses that the fitting section 303 has been fixed to the lid body 304 under the state that the fitting section 303 is fitted under the specified configuration when the fixing member 310 makes the plurality of electrodes 308 and 308 conductive each other.
