FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of chemical-pharmaceutical and food industry, namely to field of creating liquid forms of medications and biologically active food additives, with wide spectrum of pharmacological action, namely general health-improving, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral and immunomodelling and antioxidant action. Claimed medication for treatment and prevention of upper airways diseases is made in form of syrup of thallus of Island moss Cetraria islandica (L.) Ach., enriched with complex of biologically active substances, including polysaccharides and lichen acids. Also claimed is method of obtaining medicinal syrup of Island moss. Vegetable raw material before extraction is preliminarily crushed and extraction is carried out with syrup of various concentrations with its further filtering. ^ EFFECT: method ensures obtaining of final product - syrup of Island moss, maximal substance extraction, as well as preservation of biologically active substances (BAS) in syrup (polysaccharides, lichen acids) during long term in native state, thus, ensuring high medication efficiency. ^ 8 cl, 9 ex, 3 tbl, 3 dwg |
