PURPOSE: A product recommendation system and a recommendation method thereof, capable of selecting a recommendation product list according to the product preference of a customer are provided to maximize the profit of a seller based on a collaborative filtering algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A shopping mall web server(100) sells a product on a communication network. A database server stores product from the shopping mall web server. A cooperation filtering recommend unit generates an ordering matrix based on a purchase history of the customer. A recommendation point about each product is calculated by an algorithm based on the cooperative filtering. A price weighting arithmetic unit(400) calculates the price weight according to the price of each product. A recommendation product selection unit transmits the recommendation product to the shopping mall web server.
