摘要 PURPOSE: A producing method of a high density boron carbide sintered body and the high density boron carbide sintered body are provided to prevent the generation of pores and voids among grains. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a high density boron carbide sintered body comprises the following steps: inserting boron carbide powder into a mold inside a furnace, and pressurizing to obtain a molded body; exhausting impurity gas from the furnace by operating a pump; increasing the temperature of the furnace for volatilizing boric oxides from the surface of the boron carbide powder; exhausting the volatilized boric oxides to the outside; increasing the temperature of the furnace to the constant sintering temperature; pressurizing the molded body of the boron carbide powder, and sintering boron carbide; and cooling the furnace.
