<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera for taking photographs by a shutter speed according to the moving speed of a moving object, without depending on intuition and skill etc. of a photographing person. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes: a moving speed calculating part; a travel time calculating part; and a photographing processor. The moving speed calculating part calculates a moving speed of a moving object image in a captured image where the moving object image is contained. Based on the moving speed, the taravel time calculating part calculates a travel time required for the object image to travel a determined travel distance in the captured image.
