PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device having automatic backup function, configured to perform backup of data by a predetermined method in the storage device itself without instruction from an operation system or a user. SOLUTION: The storage device having automatic backup function which is connected to a host device to store user data includes: a recording medium for storing the user data; and a controller which controls write and read of data to and from the recording medium.
