PURPOSE: An electronic device and a control method thereof are provided to offer a shortcut interface for a specific item with a simple operation and offer the shortcut interface for the specific item to a desired position. CONSTITUTION: When a first selection signal for a specific item displayed on a touch screen and a second selection signal for the specific area of the touch screen are received, a control unit (180) provides a shortcut interface for accessing the specific item to the specific area. The control unit recognizes the touch for the specific item as the first selection signal.
