PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect a magnetic field generated by magnets by efficiently placing magnets for opening/closing detection of a vari-angle LCD display part. SOLUTION: An electronic appliance includes a support member in which a first case and a second case that is openable/closable with respect to the first case are connected via a hinge part and which is formed by a magnetic material provided along a side on the hinge part side of the second case; and a magnetic field generation means for generating a magnetic field provided between a side orthogonal to a side on the hinge part side of the second case and the support member.
