[Also in Group X] A reversible casement window comprising a moving frame 6 which is connected to a fixed frame 1 by means of channel-section links 9, 10 which are braced by a stabilizing bar 16 to form a G-hinge arrangement, is provided with a catch device 22 which is spring loaded, or of the hooked type gravity catch, and is mounted on the stabilizing bar 16, the free end of the catch projecting through and co-operating with, an opening 23 in the adjacent stile of the moving frame 6 when the latter and the stabilizing bar, are flush. The catch 22, only accessible when the window is open, can be operated to release the sash from the stabilizing bar, thus enabling the sash to be swung about its pivotal connections with the links 9, 10 and be reversed. |
