PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing structure of a vehicle bumper in which a shock absorbing part is provided on a part in which any vehicle body component is not located behind a bumper body, with a simple structure and without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: A shock absorbing part 1n is integrated with a part on which any vehicle body component 2 is not located on a back side of a bumper body 1a. The shock absorbing part 1n functions as rigid members 1p, 1h, 1q for suppressing the deformation of the bumper body 1a if the load to be applied to the bumper body 1a from the forward side of the vehicle is equal to or less than the predetermined value, and functions as a trigger means 1t for absorbing the load if the load is equal to or more than the predetermined value.
