PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously carry out steps of polishing a display member and separating a metal support plate from a back glass with no need of heating since an aqueous solution injected with polishing of the display member arranged on the back glass simultaneously both penetrates an adhesive layer through cracks and dissolves the adhesive layer and thus lowers the adhesive force of the adhesive layer. SOLUTION: The disassembly method is for disassembling a member with flat glass, which is obtained by sticking one face of the flat glass coated with a display member to a metal support plate through an adhesive layer formed in the other face, and involves a crack formation step of forming cracks reaching the adhesive layer from the face of the flat glass to which the display member is applied and a polishing step of polishing the face of the back plate, to which the display member is applied, with an aqueous solution and at the same time penetrating the adhesive layer with the aqueous solution through the cracks.
