PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel enabling smooth zooming operation and reducing driving load in barrel collapsing even when a cam groove is parted by a rectilinear guide groove. SOLUTION: This lens barrel includes: a rectilinear guide cylinder 208 having cam grooves 208c, 208d formed on the inner peripheral surface and a penetrating cam 208e penetrating from the inner peripheral surface to the outer peripheral surface, having a rectilinear guide groove 208f extending in the optical axis direction to part the cam grooves 208c, 208d between a barrel collapsing area and a photographing area and configured to rectilinearly move in the optical axis direction; and a moving cam cylinder 209 having a first pin 209a engaged with the cam groove 208d and a second pin 209b engaged with the penetrating cam 208e and configured to move in the optical axis direction while rotating in relation to the rectilinear guide cylinder 208. The moving cam cylinder 209 moves in the photographing area while the first pin 209a engages with the cam groove 208d, and moves in the barrel collapsing area while the second pin 209b engages with the penetrating cam 208e.
