PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an electro-optic apparatus of a thin type capable of mounting a driving semiconductor chip on a terminal portion of an electro-optic panel with sufficient yield, to provide the electro-optic apparatus, and to provide an electronic device. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the electro-optic apparatus includes an IC mounting process (Step S1) in which a driving semiconductor chip is mounted on the terminal portion of an electro-optic panel, a dry etching process (Step S2) in which the driving semiconductor chip mounted is dry etched and the thickness of the driving semiconductor chip is made thin, and a laminating process (Step S4) as a sealing process in which, by using two sheets of protection film of which at least one is transparent, the electro-optic panel having the driving semiconductor chip made thin is sandwiched and sealed.
