PURPOSE: A lower arm mounting unit for a suspension is provided to separately cope with a lateral force and a longitudinal force acting on a vehicle during driving because the first and second ball studs separately move. CONSTITUTION: A lower arm mounting unit for a suspension comprises upper and lower mounting blocks(12,14), first and second ball-studs(16,18), and upper and lower dust covers(20,22). The upper and lower mounting blocks have first and second through holes(24,28) and first and second mounting grooves(26,30), respectively. The first and second mounting grooves are connected to the respective through holes. The lower mounting block is coupled with the upper mounting block and installed in a knuckle. The first and second ball-studs have first and second lower arm mounting parts(44,48) which are respectively inserted in the first and second through holes. The first ball stud includes a cap which makes rolling-contact in the first mounting groove. The second ball-stud includes a ball which makes rolling-contact with the cap. The upper and lower dust covers are respectively installed on the top of the upper mounting block and the bottom of the lower mounting block. |
