PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden building having a vibration control wall and capable of absorbing energy of horizontal force acting on the building due to earthquake or strong wind by a damper of the vibration control wall efficiently. SOLUTION: This building includes the vibration control wall 13 constituted by erecting a plurality of vertical members (columns) 1, 8 between upper and lower horizontal members (a beam 2, a sill 7) and connecting the vertical members mutually through a vibration control mechanism 12. Stopper members 18a, 18b are arranged above and below between the right and left vertical members 1 and 8, and both ends are abutted on opposing faces of the vertical members 1, 8 on both sides and are fixed to the upper and lower horizontal members 2, 7, respectively.
