PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure discharge lamp with color characteristics of light emission stabilized and capable of obtaining a required joint intensity, through excellent jointing between a first power-feeding member and a cermet part of a second power-feeding member. SOLUTION: The high-pressure discharge lamp is provided with an electrode member 2, a first power-feeding member 3 equipped with a shaft part 3a of a halogen-resisting metal and a coil part 3b, and a second power-feeding member 4 containing a cermet part 4a and having nearly the same diameter as that of the first power-feeding member. The first power-feeding member forms a slight gap against an inner face of small-diameter cylindrical parts of a translucent ceramic discharge vessel 1, and at the same time, a small-diameter protruded part 3c smaller than the diameter of the first power-feeding member from its base end part is formed in an axis direction, and the second power-feeding member is provided with a pair of electrode structures EM with a tip of the cermet part surrounding the protruded part of the first power-feeding member, having nearly the same outer diameter of its surrounding part as the outer diameter of the first power-feeding member, and with the base end of the first power-feeding member adhered with the tip of the second power-feeding member.
