PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film from which a heat-resistant layer hardly peels when the heat-resistant layer is layered on the porous film, a laminated porous film in which a porous film and a porous heat-resistant layer are stacked, a battery separator, and a battery. SOLUTION: The porous film is obtained using a resin composition containing an ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin and a polyolefin wax having a weight-average molecular weight of≤3,000 in which the number of branches per 1,000 carbon atoms constituting a main chain is≤15. In the laminated porous film, a porous heat-resistant layer is laid on at least one surface of the porous film. The porous film or the laminated porous film is the battery separator.
