PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguisher capable of keeping required pressure resistance and impact resistance over a long period of time by covering a thermoplastic resin layer configuring a pressure resistant container by a coating film layer and surely preventing degradation due to the weatherability of the thermoplastic resin layer configuring the pressure resistant container, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The fire extinguisher includes the pressure resistant container to be filled up with a fire extinguishing agent. For the pressure resistant container 2, a body layer 3 is formed of a pressure resistant thermoplastic resin and the coating film layer 4 is provided on the outer surface.
