PURPOSE: A controlling method of a washing machine is provided to prevent occurrence of an impact noise by rapid drop of a laundry due to rolling according to inner surface. CONSTITUTION: A controlling method of a washing machine is comprised as a first and a second course. The first course maintains a first noise level. The second course maintains a second noise level lower than a first noise level. An operating time of weak motion of a second course is longer than a first course. A laundry is softly rubbed with each other and turned upside down through a rolling motion.
