Provided are a label distribution method and device. The label distribution method comprises: a first routing device sending to a second routing device a first BGP update message which comprises a first VPN instance identifier and a first RT, the first routing device receiving a second BGP update message which comprises a second VPN instance identifier and a second RT and is sent by the second routing device, and the first routing device distributing a first VPN instance label to the second VPN instance after it is determined that the first RT is equal to the second RT; and the first routing device sending to the second routing device a third BGP update message which comprises the first VPN instance label. The technical solution of the present invention distributes a label to a VPN instance by conducting mutual study among VPN instances, so that a service tail-end node can identify which VPN instance the L3VPN service specifically comes from, thereby solving an L3VPN OAM problem. |
