PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible the easy positioning of a label and the easy peeling of the label. SOLUTION: A magnetic tape cartridge 1 is provided with a casing 2 for containing a magnetic tape. In the casing 2, a label area 6 for pasting the label 7 is formed in a state of being recessed more than a rear side face 2d of the casing 2. An outer peripheral edge 60 of the label area 6 has a shape of facing outer peripheral edges of the pasted label 7 from all directions to position the label 7 in all the directions.
