<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection structure capable of reducing costs in linear motors and linear actuators. <P>SOLUTION: The position detection structure 10 is a structure for detecting a position of a movable section 2 in a linear driving mechanism such as a linear motor, and includes the movable section 2 and one or a plurality of sensors 1 for detecting the position of the movable section 2. A gyroscopic sensor or an acceleration sensor, or both of them can be used as the sensor 1.
