PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance useful as an antitumor agent; and a method for screening the same. SOLUTION: The antitumor agent, detailedly the neovascularization inhibitor, includes a substance to suppress the development or function of GSDMD, specifically, contains as an effective component antisense nucleic acid, ribozyme nucleic acid or nucleic acid having RNAi activity to a transcript of a gene coding GSDMD or the antibody to bond with GSDMD; and the method for screening the neovascularization inhibitor is characterized by selecting a gene coding GSDMD or a compound to lower the development amount of GSDMD.
