PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device of high operability that gives operation feeling for a plurality of functions in an operation section and allows the functions to be switched. SOLUTION: The input device includes an operation section 10 having a moving section movable in the direction of a shaft 11, a detection section 20 having a linear encoder 21 as a stroke detector for detecting the stroke of an operation knob 12 constituting the moving section, a linear motor 30 as a driving section for applying a force to the operation knob 12 of the operation section 10, and a control section 40 that selects the plurality of functions, and controls the force applied to the operation section 10 by controlling the linear motor 30 based on the output of the linear encoder 21 in accordance with the selected function.
