PURPOSE:To enable a substitute ignition signal be supplied in case of a disorder in a computer by deviding a rotar angle detector of an internal combustion engine by twice and four times the number of cylinders, distributing different information of location alternately, and equipping inversion detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:Rectangular wave output of the same and twice the number of cylinders are obtained at the output ends 26, 27 of a detector circuit 20 by the revolution of magnets 11, 12 respectively at distributor shaft, and clock pulse corresponding to the ups and downs of output signal 27 occurs at output end 28 by the edge detector circuit 25. These outputs are transmitted to a central processing unit 31, where the clock pulse is converted to time and revolution rate is calculated. Also on-angle output and ignition time output operation are conducted by the absolute position information obtained by the combination of the output 26, 27. When the ignition signal is diverted and the output 26 inversion output and the output 27 are H, the output of an on-angle fixed ignition signal which is equivalent to one fourth of an ignition interval at a logical circuit 35 is obtained by shifting a switch 34 by self-diagnostic function or by manual operation. |
