PURPOSE: Driving device and method of the motor of an air conditioner are provided to enable a predetermined pattern to be accurately applied to load-torque compensating since the states of a plurality of mechanical angles, which are successively calculated, are determined and corrected in operation at a constant speed. CONSTITUTION: A motor is driven according to a given speed instruction(S610). A first mechanical angle and a second mechanical angle, which correspond to the speed instruction or a reference speed in a given range, are successively detected(S620). It is determined whether the first mechanical angle is larger than the second mechanical angle(S630). If yes, at least one of the first and second mechanical angles is compensated(S640) and a maximum speed of mechanical angle, which corresponds to the maximum speed ripple of the motor, is calculated based on the compensated first or second mechanical angle(S650). |
