The hinge has a hinge loop (1), and a spectacle side piece (2) that is suspended in a hinge roller (8) under tension. The hinge roller is formed at an end of the hinge loop, and the hinge loop is connected with the spectacle side piece. Brackets (3a, 3b) of the spectacle side piece are strongly straddled during rotary motion by heads (7a, 7b) of the hinge roller. The spectacle side piece is locked in an open position and a closed position. The tension of the spectacle side piece is increased during changing of the side piece from the open position into the closed position.
