<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for producing a halogen-substituted phthalide. <P>SOLUTION: What are disclosed are [1] a method for producing a halogen-substituted phthalide including a reaction step of reacting a halogen-substituted phthalic anhydride with sodium borohydride and [2] the method cited in [1] wherein the reaction step is a step of reacting a halogen-substituted phthalic anhydride with sodium borohydride in the presence of at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of an ether solvent and an alcohol solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
