PURPOSE:To effect filling operation very smoothly and facilitate continuous molding by a method wherein excessive expandable particles, which are not filled into the cavity of a mold upon filling them, are discharged to the outside of a system automatically and easily by pressurizing gas provided with a pressure higher than a pressure in the mold. CONSTITUTION:The main body (a) of a filling gun is provided with a main hole (b) and a branched hole (c) and the main hole (b) is communicated with a cavity while the branched hole (c) is communicated with the transfer tube of synthetic resin expandable particles. The main hole (b) is provided with the discharging port (h) of the synthetic resin expandable particles at a back side then the retreated position of a plunger. When the predetermined amount of expandable particles is filled into the cavity 17 of a mold, a pressure switch PS, provided in a pressure detecting port (f), for example, is operated to advance the plunger (d) and close a filling port 18 while the transfer of the expandable particles is stopped simultaneously. In this case, the expandable particles, which are transferred before the transfer of the expandable particles is stopped perfectly, are discharged easily to the outside of this system from the discharging port (h) whereby the remaining of much amount of excessive expandable particles in the main hole (b) or a penetrating hole (b') upon finishing the filling of the particles may be prevented. |
