PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float valve construction designed so as to surely and accurately open or close a water supply port in a simple operation mode in accordance with the level of reserved water in a water tank, and having a simple structure. SOLUTION: The float valve construction includes a float moving up and down in the water tank in accordance with the water level fluctuation of the reserved water, a conducting pipe attached to the water supply port of a water pipe and releasing the supplied water to the side through a discharge port, and a water stop valve to one end part of which a lid face part closing the discharge port of the conducting pipe is set up. The float valve construction is structured as follows: one end part of the water stop valve faces the upper surface of the float to rotationally pivot the water stop valve on a horizontal axis part formed below the discharge port of the conducting tube, the water stop valve the other end of which abuts to the top surface of the float in conjunction with the vertical motion of the float is rotated with the horizontal axis part as a fulcrum, and the lid face part of the water stop valve closes the discharge port when the float is displaced upward to a prescribed position.
