<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device, an operation method, and a program, for enabling a player to smoothly input an operation instruction when resuming a game. <P>SOLUTION: A storage unit 202 of the game device 200 stores a recent operation instruction accepted by an acceptance unit 201 while a game is not suspended. A control unit 203 suspends the game in progress when an instruction to suspend the game is accepted. When determining that the same operation instruction as the recent operation instruction stored in the storage unit 202 is accepted while the game is suspended, the control unit 203 resumes the game.
