<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for that saves power and improves performance. <P>SOLUTION: An embedded controller/keyboard controller IC(EC/KBC) 22 detects whether an AC adapter 28 is connected to a computer. When the AC adapter 28 is connected (driven by AC power), a BIOS prohibits PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) EXPRESS link from being shifted to LOs and L1 in idling in order to give priority to performance. On the other hand, when the AC adapter 28 is not connected (driven by battery), the BIOS permits the PCI EXPRESS link to be shifted to LOs and L1 in idling in order to give priority to power saving. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
