The method involves recognizing manipulative changes in an electronic unit e.g. original keyboard (1), by change of manipulation-related physical parameters e.g. size, electromagnetic field, capacitance, inductance, resistance, acoustic operating time. Measurements of relevant physical values are continuously or temporarily carried out. The physical values are automatically compared with stored original values i.e. reference values, of the unit. Manipulation of the unit or a relevant equipment is immediately recognized by a deviation of both physical and original values.
