PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device for a jib crane, capable of smoothly facilitating work involving the operation of a brake pedal by reliably seizing the actual lowering speed of a load suspending hook when not being viewed. SOLUTION: The brake device for the jib crane includes a rotating speed detecting means 17 for detecting a rotating speedωof a load suspending winch 11, and a vibration imparting means 20 for imparting vibration to the brake pedal 19 depending on the rotating speedωof the load suspending winch 11 detected by the rotating speed detecting means 17.
