The height adjustment method involves changing the transmission ratio from a wheel to a damper in a simultaneous manner. The transmission ratio is changed by variation of a spring linkage point (X-a) through an actuator operated in a mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical manner. The actuator is designed as a rotatable lever. An independent claim is also included for an actuator.
