<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic small substance in a tank from being fed to a fuel transfer system in a simple structure by setting up a magnet for catching and removing the magnetic small substance, in a filter of a fuel pump. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 6 molded in such a form as not affected to negative pressure in a pump is set up in the inner part of a filter 5 attached to a fuel pump suction port 4. In this case, capture for a magnetic small substance takes place even if a form of this magnet 6 is in a simple structure such as rectangular, circular, oval forms or the line with constant thickness. When the magnetic small substance is magnetically attracted by the magnet 6, it is the wider in the surface, the larger in the attracting effect, so that it is yet more effective if being constituted into perforation, irregular form or reticulation. With this constitution, abrasion accelerating factors in a commutator and a brush for a fuel pump motor are thus eliminable.</p> |
