PURPOSE:To decrease the inner-wheel difference at the time of turning, and to reduce the rear wheel steering control amount after turning by recording the moving locus of the center of gravity of a vehicle body, and by carrying out steering control so that a definite point at the rear part of the vehicle follows up the moving locus of the center of gravity. CONSTITUTION:In an auxiliary steering device for a vehicle in which the auxiliary steering of front wheels 101 and rear wheels 102 is enabled, a front-wheel actual steering-angle detecting means 103 for detecting the actual steering angle of front wheels 101 is provided. A gravity center locus recording means 104 for recording the moving locus of the center of gravity G of the vehicle body at the time when the center of gravity G moves with the steering of the vehicle is provided. The output signal of the gravity center locus recording means 104 is input into a rear-wheel actual steering-angle control means 105, and the actual steering angle of the rear wheels 102 is controlled by the control means 105 so that a definite point P at the rear part of the vehicle body follows up the running locus of the center of gravity G with the running of the vehicle. |
